Serving Partner Child Freedom Coalition | 2025
Child Freedom Coalition is one of our serving partners and they’ve had an incredibly successful summer bringing thousands of children out of slavery in South Asia! David Miller, a member of our Taylors campus and the Operations Manager for Child Freedom Coalition, has recently shared an update with us about how they’ve been impacting lives this year and how we can be praying for them.
Check out this video for a recent update from David with Child Freedom Coalition:
How is God still leading his people out of slavery in 2025?
Before rescue, millions of trafficked children across South Asia are forced into hard labor or abuse—longing for deliverance they can’t imagine. Child Freedom Coalition works to rescue these children and surround them with everything they need to heal, move into healthy adulthood, and thrive for the rest of their lives.
Just this summer, teams on the ground brought out thousands of children in a single night. While details of this incredible rescue are currently too sensitive to share, it is a huge testament to God’s incredible power to accomplish what seems impossible. The same God who parts the seas still makes a way where there is none.
Over a multi-year period, about 60% of rescued children are expected to be reunited with their families—loved ones who never stopped hoping for their return. Since the rescue this summer, 1,169 families have already been reunited. There is hope that an additional 400–500 families will be reunited before Christmas.
Every rescued child hears the gospel. Reunited families are able to connect their tangible physical rescue to their spiritual rescue and huge numbers of these kids choose to follow Jesus in a culture that is openly hostile to his Kingdom. Children with nowhere to go have begun a new journey entering safe homes and receiving education, daily bread, and training that prepares them for a future full of purpose and faith.

What’s next?
Prior to this summer’s large rescue, 1,200 freed children were cared for in a single location. Child Freedom Coalition is now caring for over 5,000 rescued children spread across dozens of locations while they build large-scale permanent housing. Care for these children includes counseling to help restore them both physically and spiritually.
Last year, over 2,700 former students helped fund 38% of these necessary programs. Hundreds of graduates also participated in this summer’s rescue—serving as translators, cooks, and a hand to hold. It’s a beautiful reflection of the gospel: they were once rescued, and now they’re rescuing others.
The long-term hope is that each children’s home would become self-sustaining and eventually help to launch other homes. A multiplying network of homes led by those once enslaved is tangible proof that freedom can reproduce itself.

A message to our church from David Miller:
Grace Church, you’re part of this story. Your generosity and prayers have helped lead children out of slavery and into new life. You’ve stood with me in the desert places and celebrated the victories that God alone could win.
These past seven months have felt like I’ve been living in a Bible story—some combination of feeding of the 5,000, the Exodus, and a living embodiment of Psalm 121. Behind the scenes, the persecuted Church carries this work forward. Men I’ve known have been killed because of their cries against injustice. Others in my life live under the constant threat of physical violence and death. In places where public evangelism is forbidden, faithful pastors open their homes, visit our care centers, and guide families toward healing and faith. They trust that God’s presence still goes before them as they proclaim Jesus as King in dangerous circumstances.
Through this work, reunited families get to hear the Good News in a particularly tangible way. When reuniting is possible, pastors share the gospel with families—telling them about a rescuing God who wants to be reunited with them. By God’s grace, thousands of people have turned to Jesus because of that witness.
As a member of this church, I’m deeply grateful, not just for your support, but for your partnership in the gospel. Together, we’re watching God free captive children and lead them to a future only he could write.
We are overjoyed to partner with Child Freedom Coalition in the work that they are doing to end child slavery. Please join us in praying for their continued work and safety, for the children who have been rescued, and for those who are not yet free—that they would know how rescued they are in Jesus—and that safe deliverance would soon happen.
