1 Corinthians 3:16
This plan of study focuses on preparing you for the upcoming teaching by providing relevant background passages, biblical context, and additional resources. You will receive an email with the weekly readings on Tuesdays. We hope this tool will help you grow in your understanding of Scripture.
We live in a world where Satan has power, and he is actively working to bring it under his influence. However, God is committed to carving out a people and a place for himself. He offers himself as our Warrior King, able to redeem us if we accept him as he offers himself.
Many of us dramatically underestimate God's desire for us to experience his presence. The life and person of Jesus communicates and actualizes God living among his people, and the same Spirit that empowered his mission is available to us.
Throughout Scripture, God is carving out a people and a place for himself. Since the Holy Spirit descended at Pentecost, God’s people have become his holy place. Like those early believers, we are given the Spirit to orient our lives around his mission.
As Christians, we often struggle to live spiritually powerful lives. But when we walk in step with the Holy Spirit, he manifests his power through us. His presence gives us victory over the lies of the enemy, stirs us to sacrificial love for others, and ignites in us the boldness to do the work he has called us to.
