Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians are written to a young church that was learning to stand firm under pressure from the world. He urges them toward everyday holiness—sexual integrity, quiet and faithful work, and brotherly love—fueled by hope in the return of Jesus. His letters call the church today to proactively work out our faith in everyday life, to remain steady in our suffering, and to cultivate discernment in a confusing world, trusting that one day Jesus will finish what he started.
We are teaching an 8 week study on 1 & 2 Thessalonians on Monday nights starting January 26. We are going to study and learn together, including pre-work that helps us get the most out of our teaching. If you're eager to grow in your understanding of Scripture and apply it to our lives together, come be a part.
