Encouragement and Connection

Over the past few years, we have been developing a relationship with the Greenville County Detention Center. We desire to support those at the Detention Center in tangible ways and be a light to both staff and those incarcerated. Here are a few ways we have sought to provide encouragement and connection.

• Members handed out popsicles to staff in October as part of GCDC’s Kindness Week
• In December, volunteers from a variety of campuses served a Christmas meal to staff
• Our Mosaic Inspire adults baked cookies for staff and helped serve the meal

These are small gestures, but we pray they communicate the dignity and value of the recipients. Please join us in praying for this partnership as it continues to develop—that God would allow us to build relationships and provide support.
