Spartanburg Campus Sends Team to Puerto Rico
Last week, a team from our Spartanburg campus traveled to Puerto Rico to come alongside our partner, Hunger Corp. The team worked to rebuild and repair two houses that had been damaged in past hurricanes. However, just as important as working to provide physical shelter for people, team members were able to build relationships, encourage, and pray for those they served. At both work sites, the individuals whose homes were worked on have experienced significant challenges. Through their work in close proximity to these individuals, the team was able to connect with them personally and live out the love of Christ in tangible ways.
One team member had this to say about connecting with one of the people they served:
Before we left, we all met together and prayed over him as a team and spoke the blessings of the Lord over him. It was so humbling to serve in that way, and in the grand scheme of things, who are we that God would use us in such a way?
Will you pray with us over what God is doing in Puerto Rico and how he is discipling our members through short-term missions? If you are interested in joining a team, click below to learn about upcoming opportunities.
