National Assisted Living Week
National Assisted Living Week was earlier this fall, and all our campuses showed support to their Senior Honor Partners. Each campus partners with at least one assisted living facility, and this was a unique opportunity to care not only for the residents, but for the staff who care for them. Volunteers jumped in and helped deliver meals, goody bags, notes of encouragement, and other treats to both staff and residents. Many campuses also hosted fun activities like bingo, jewelry making, and more.
These small acts of care are meaningful to our partners. Dominion Senior Living of Anderson shared this:
We are so grateful for the amazing volunteers at Grace Church who pray for our residents and team members daily, show up weekly to connect and build relationships, and surprise us throughout the year with ‘warm fuzzies’ and words of encouragement!! Thank you Grace Church Anderson!
We are thankful for all the work and love that went into National Assisted Living Week! We believe being connected to and caring for the elderly is a discipleship issue and vital to the health of our church.
