Work alongside the Campus Pastor to lead the campus, including the development of the staff and ministry teams. This role will have a variety of leadership experiences based on the needs of the campus and individual strengths. All Pastoral staff are required to live under the authority of scripture in regards to the biblical definition of eldership.
Participate as a member of the discipleship & groups team in the development and execution of a church-wide discipleship strategy.
Look for opportunities to leverage other Grace Church ministry efforts (e.g. Men’s, Women’s, outreach, and service) within the group structure to strengthen biblical community and develop leaders.
Provide ongoing spiritual leadership to group leaders.
Monthly training/equipping lunch opportunities for leaders
2-3 monthly “touches” with each leader
4-5 checkups with each leader annually to assess spiritual health, family health, and ability to continue in leadership
Providing opportunities for leaders to meet with each other to share ideas, best practices, etc.
Establish a plan to identify and develop prospective leaders to facilitate group multiplication including participation in quarterly training events (Equip Groups) for potential/new leaders.
Develop leaders and “apprentices” who mentor and disciple groups members in their spiritual journeys.
Identify and provide creative opportunities for group members to experience biblical community in multi-group settings outside of their normal meetings.
Inform campus pastor/lead of any shepherding situations, group issues, etc. that warrant special attention or may be moving toward the need for corrective church discipline.
Coordinate and report regularly on budget and monthly expenditures.
Utilize Discovery to create clarity for new families.
Strategically lead Foundations where new families are assimilated into the church.
Work with the pastoral team to complete membership interviews.
Leverage Men’s Roundtable and Ezer to ensure men and women are being equipped and discipled.
Perform other duties as they arise, consistent with the vision and mission of Grace Church.
